Privacy Policy
The short version: TutorTurbo is built for teachers and kids, so we keep privacy simple. You don't need an account to play our games or browse our resources, we don't sell your information, and the progress you make in a game is stored right on your own device — not on our servers.
Who we are
TutorTurbo ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at tutorturbo.com, where we offer free, browser-based educational games, teaching tips, and printable classroom resources. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site and how we treat it.
Information we collect
We designed the site to work with as little personal information as possible.
- No accounts. You can play every game and view every page without signing up, logging in, or giving us your name or email.
- Game progress stays local. Our games save your scores, best levels, and skill mastery using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data resets it.
- Basic technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages visited, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this to identify individual visitors.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include in your message so we can reply.
Cookies & local storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only browser storage our games rely on is localStorage, used purely to remember your in-game progress on your own device. You are always free to clear it through your browser settings.
Children's privacy
TutorTurbo is intended to be used by teachers and by students under the guidance of a parent or educator. Because we do not require accounts and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children under 13 — a child can play our games without providing any personal details.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or similar laws. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Links to other sites
Our pages link out to a small number of third-party services, most notably our Teachers Pay Teachers store, where our printable products are sold. We also load icon fonts from a public content-delivery network. When you follow a link to another company's site, or when your browser requests those resources, their own privacy policies apply — not ours. We encourage you to review them.
Analytics & advertising
We do not run third-party advertising networks on the site, and we do not sell, rent, or trade any information about our visitors. If we ever add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which games are most helpful, we will update this policy first.
How we protect information
Because we collect so little, there is very little to expose. The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and any message you send us is kept only as long as needed to help you. No method of transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure, but keeping our data footprint small is our strongest safeguard.
Your choices
- Play everything anonymously — no sign-up required.
- Reset all saved game progress at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
- Disable localStorage in your browser if you prefer (games will still run, but won't remember your scores).
- Email us to ask a question or request deletion of any message you've sent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the site grows. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
